ABOUT US

Keely and Jenna met while studying Social Work at UBC. Their friendship was forged over many cups of tea, talks of feminism, and a developing desire for a more connected and just world. Social Justice is at the core of both their friendship and their clinical practice. They both have an intersectional feminist, trauma informed approach to counselling. Authentic connection and vulnerability are values that are interwoven throughout their practice. They believe in celebrating joy, embracing the hard things, and creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone, including folks from the LGBTQ2S+ communities.

MEET Jenna

Jenna lives in Squamish with her partner, her son, and her dog, Rowdy. She loves spending time with the people she loves in the mountains and curling up with a good novel to recharge. Jenna is passionate about her community and has lived and worked in Squamish for the past 8 years. 

Jenna is a registered Social Worker in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers  (#15335) with a Bachelors and Masters in Social Work. Jenna currently offers virtual counselling sessions.

Jenna has experience working with victims of crime, including domestic violence and sexual assault. She also has extensive experience supporting youth and young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self harm, body image, and substance use. She has experience working within the policing system, both through her role as Victim Court Support Worker and RCMP Victim Services Coordinator. Jenna enjoys supporting youth and young adults as well as their family systems. 

Jenna draws from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Emotion Focused Family Therapy. She is trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and is grounded in intersectional feminist theory. Jenna believes that relationship and connection are integral to the therapeutic relationship and the client is the expert in their own healing. 

In addition to her private practice, Jenna works as a youth clinician for the Vancouver Coast Health and Substance Use Team at the Foundry Sea to Sky. Most extended health insurers recognize Jenna’s services.

Jenna works with both youth and adults, as well as family systems. She is an LGBTQI2S+ friendly counsellor and strives to create a safe and accepting space for all her clients.

MEET Keely

Keely is a compassionate and experienced registered social worker, dedicated to empowering individuals and couples to heal and thrive in the face of life's most challenging issues. With specialized expertise in trauma, mental health, body image, eating disorders, grief, abortion, and domestic violence, Keely brings a holistic, empathetic approach to her work, helping clients navigate their unique journeys toward self-discovery and healing.  

Keely holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), a Master of Science in Gender, Development, and Globalization and a Master of Social Work (MSW). With her extensive educational background and diverse clinical experience, she is committed to understanding the complexities of each client’s story and offering tailored support. Keely is a registered social worker in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers (#15872) and is deeply invested in maintaining the highest standards of practice. 

In addition to her expertise in mental health, Keely is a LGBTQ2SI+ friendly counsellor. Keely is passionate about creating inclusive, safe spaces for clients of all backgrounds. Whether in person or via virtual sessions, Keely is committed to fostering an environment where every client feels seen, heard, and respected. Keely believes wholeheartedly in the power of choice and autonomy. She sees her clients as the true experts of their own lives and is dedicated to providing them with the tools, compassion, and guidance they need to take charge of their personal growth. Above all, Keely creates a non-judgmental and compassionate space where healing can unfold at the client’s own pace.  

Beyond her work, Keely finds joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. Whether she's laughing with loved ones, running along the coast, or catching waves on her surfboard, Keely values deep connections and believes in the importance of cultivating joy. Outside of her professional life, she can often be found sharing a cup of tea or a beer with friends, enjoying meaningful conversations, and embracing the beauty of life’s imperfections.  

Keely is also candid about her journey as a childfree woman in a pro-natal world. By openly discussing her choice to live childfree, she challenges societal stigma and advocates for women’s right to make empowered decisions about their bodies and futures. With a heart rooted in empathy and a mind sharpened by years of study and practice, Keely is committed to making a difference in the lives of those she serves. She is here to walk alongside you as you navigate your own path to healing and self-empowerment offering unwavering support, personalized guidance, and a compassionate presence every step of the way.

OUR APPROACH

Keely and Jenna practice from an anti-oppressive, intersectional feminist, and trauma informed lens. 

To be grounded in anti-oppressive practice from an intersection feminist lens means recognizing and examining the harmful systems that impact individual’s mental health. Pain and suffering are not created in a vacuum, but rather experienced as a result of the unjust systems that influence daily living. These influences can include patriarchy, capitalism, colonialism, heteronormativity, and prescribed gender norms. 

Trauma informed care recognizes the lived experience of individuals, and prioritises creating safety and offering choice in the therapeutic process.
